Balloon artist and founder of SoCal Balloons. Since 2012, I’ve been twisting balloons into unforgettable moments all over Southern California.
Running a balloon business might look like all fun and color — but behind the scenes, it’s a fast-paced mix of creativity, logistics, and business strategy. Here’s what it’s really like running SoCal Balloons in one of the most visually-driven regions in the world.
The Weekly Reality
No two weeks look the same, but most of mine include:
It’s organized chaos — but I’ve learned to ride the wave.
The Hardest Part: Being Seen
The biggest challenge? Visibility.
Getting your work in front of the right people is half the battle. I spend a lot of time creating content and experimenting with ways to stand out.
The second challenge? Staying ahead of trends. Clients count on me for fresh, creative ideas — and that means constantly watching what’s next.
Balancing Creativity and Business
Over the past five years, I’ve taken the business side seriously — and now I actually enjoy it.
From pricing and automation to branding and customer service, I’ve learned to use technology to streamline my work… without losing the human touch.
What Changed Everything: A CRM
One of the biggest shifts in my workflow was using a CRM (customer relationship manager).
Before, I was juggling texts, DMs, emails, and Facebook messages. Now, everything’s in one place — organized, trackable, and way less stressful.
The SoCal Factor
Southern California is a unique place to run a creative business. Clients are trend-savvy, visual-first, and love shareable moments.
That pushes me to think bigger — not just balloons, but full-on balloon experiences.
